Responsibilities:
Client is seeking energetic, ambitious Technical Support Engineers to be responsible for troubleshooting, supporting, and assisting Client's clients in our Java-based product suite. Our software is developed in Java with relational database back-end and Web-based front end. Technical Support Engineers must have the ability to troubleshoot simple to complex problems in a logical client focused manner and be dedicated to providing world class customer support.
· Work with Client's clients and other support engineers to resolve technical issues;
· Set up client environments in house to reproduce issue as necessary;
· Communicate with other departments such as Engineering and Sales to facilitate issue resolution;
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
The successful candidate will possess at least two of the following three skill sets:
1. Operating Systems - Working knowledge of Windows and at least one brand of UNIX
2. Application Servers - Knowledge of one of the following application servers -- BEA, IBM, Sun, Tomcat (includes knowledge of basic Java as related to Application Servers)
3. Database Systems - Knowledge of one of the following RDBMS: Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2, Sybase
Knowledge of programming languages Java (j2ee certification preferred)

· Able to accept mentoring and to act as a mentor to others as well;
· Willing to go beyond typical job responsibilities when needed;
· Strong work ethic and customer commitment;
· Strong ability to multitask in a fast paced environment;
· Must be detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication abilities;
Experience:
1-2 years experience systems/software preferred. We will consider promising entry-level candidates as well.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
