We are looking for a hardware and-or software engineer that has experience with ethernet product development for a client in the Dallas area.
Title: Systems Engineer
Location: Dallas, Texas
Compensation: Base salary open depending on skill and experience level, though we are targeting $105-130,000. Additional bonus incentives. Solid benefits. Relocation assistance is offered.
Travel, both domestically and internationally to 15%. USA Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Decompose high-level market requirements into the appropriate level of detail for the various engineering disciplines to partition the work and move to the next level of functional decomposition. Review and provide feedback on product requirements and engineering documents. Participate and present at Standards Meetings to further our client's vision for ethernet technology.
Required Skills: Technical bachelor's degree with 10+ embedded development (hardware, FPGA and-or software). Experience with Network Synchronization (Synchronous Ethernet or SONET/SDH related synchronization). Familiarity with Provider Bridges standard, Carrier Ethernet standards, Ethernet OAM, and their standards related to Ethernet LAN MAN Networks including: IEEE802.11, ITU and MEF. Familiar with process lifecycle phases and quality metrics and measures for identifying the completion of each pha
