Information Technology & Business Strategist 2007 onwards

Providing business solutions and technology consulting services in the areas of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Business Process Management (BPM), and Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing.

• Worked closely with the CIO's Office of Montgomery County, Maryland to develop detailed project charter and project plan; specify goals, objectives, strategy, and scope for a $75 million ERP project.

• Created and implemented operational vision and technology strategic plan for Radiation Therapy Services, Inc. (Forbes 2007 Best Small Companies Rankings) owned by Vestar Capital Partners, a leading international private equity firm.

CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

• Responsible for (1) Leading & managing all functions interfacing with IT clients, information technology, processes and systems; (2) Developing a high performing IT organization that supports the district's goals and objectives through knowledge of sound business principles, business process analysis and redesign; and (3) Establishing and managing service level agreements in complex environment involving multiple platforms and applications. Manage an annual IT budget of $130 million and 220 technology staff.

• Led the successful implementation of mySAP CRM system that included ICSS (Internet Customer Self Service), Customer Interaction Center IC web client, Business Warehouse (BW), Enterprise Portal, and CTI IVR Software in a record 5-month period.

Senior Vice President/Chief Technology Officer

• Responsible for (1) Global Applications -- focused on developing and maintaining business software to manage business processes, (2) Global Technology and Operations -- managed the shared technology infrastructure (desktops, servers, networks and client services), and (3) Business Unit Technology -- focused on applications that are distinct to specific business units to support technology initiatives with clients worldwide. Typical projects included: data warehouse applications, CRM solutions, list services & campaign management, back-end analysis, and data mining/reporting.

• Developed a strategic technology plan to align core business processes and IT operations that resulted in savings of $175 million over a 4-year period.

• Managed an operation that consists of 281-technology staff worldwide and annual budget of $75 million.

• Supported clients (AT&T, Hewlett-Packard, Boeing, American Airlines, John Deere, JP Morgan Chase, Samsung Electronics, PeopleSoft, State Street Bank, Qwest, MetLife, etc) in implementing CRM solutions/technologies.

• Served as a Technical Advisor/Domain Expert to SAS Institute and helped engineer SAS's entry into the Business Intelligence and CRM market.


Trinitas Hospital, Elizabeth New Jersey 1996 -- 1999
A multi-campus, full-service, 432-bed acute care hospital serving Eastern & Central Union County.

Director, Information Services

• Responsible for creating and implementing a technology strategy to position the hospital as a viable force in an increasingly competitive healthcare marketplace. Managed on-going technology operations and a 23-person IS Department at this multi-site institution.

• Developed an $8.5 million strategic technology plan to meet the hospital's technology requirements for the next 10 years.

• Created an Information Services department to bring the previously outsourced function in-house, resulting in an annual savings of $780,000.

• Deployed Imaging and Electronic Forms applications to reduce costs and enhance workflows, which yielded savings in excess of $1.25 million.

Sonty Systems, Shelton, Connecticut 1994 -- 1996
Technology & Systems Consultant

• Developed a corporate data repository for a full-service managed healthcare organization. The client/server environment interfaced to a state-of-the-art imaging and scanning system, voice response units, EDI and fax servers (Oracle, HP 9000, HP-UX environment). Budget: $20 Million

• Designed and developed a claims management system with international business applications for automotive and consumer based insurance products (SQL/server, Windows NT, Powerbuilder environment).

• Managed project to migrate gas transportation/marketing system from a Sun SPARCcenter to DEC VAX OpenVMS environment. Redesigned the electronic bulletin board system in response to new government regulations.

Key Representative Projects

• Implemented AT&T Business Services' very first Lead Opportunity Optimization Process (LOOP) CRM application to better target prospects, generate faster lead management through the sales funnel, improve the ability to measure ROI and continually improve customer relationship management. Project received the 2001 IT Services Marketing Association (ITSMA) Marketing Excellence Award.

• Successfully developed a CRM database for General Motors for tracking customer, dealer, marketing, and retail information. This was a 5 year phased project with a budget of $60 million. Information Week ranked this project as one of the biggest and best usage of information technology. (Sept. 18, 1995).

• Implemented SAP Enterprise Portal Solution: Provided a web based interface to the SAP applications supporting the entire user community to allow a secure login access to all kinds of enterprise wide information like business transactions, business intelligence, knowledge management and collaborative resources. Provided integrated content management system to enable mixed (heterogeneous) system landscapes to be integrated into one consistent platform based on open standards.

• Implemented SAP BW (Business Warehousing) Solution: Leveraged SAP BW infrastructure and tools to bring BI (Business Intelligence) to the enterprise that resulted in quicker informed decision making, data mining and forecasting. Utilized the analytical processing of CRM data through BW tools to provide insight into service levels, customer behavioral patterns and performance bottlenecks.

• Leveraged SAP X-App Solution for ITIL CRM 2.0 Implementation: to monitor all the aspects of Service Management across the enterprise to support the adoption of ITIL policies and also measure/monitor the level of service management (ITIL) performance by providing information on relevant metrics and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).

• Top Public Sector Innovator Award for implementing a WebSphere Portal to leverage the power of a service oriented architecture (SOA) to deliver real business value.
